6 Weeks Pregnant - A Lot of Hormonal Changes & Imbalances

Early pregnancy is all about excitement, nervousness, and a lot of hormone changes, which bring various symptoms. In this stage of 6th-week pregnancy, you can explore some mixed feelings because of the changes in the body. It is the time to feel the symptoms of PMS such as fatigue, headaches, sore breasts, cramping, frequent urination, and many more. Further, most pregnant folks will experience morning sickness as a common symptom. These things make you understand that your body is producing the right kind of hormones at the right time. Moreover, it is mainly produced to give support for the development of the baby. Now, you are about to ensure some more interesting things about this week of pregnancy below. 

Fetal Development at Week 6

During this stage of pregnancy, the brain and face of the baby will start to grow. On the other hand, the eyelids and bones will start to form just in the mild stage. You can witness a gradual development in the beginning growth of nostrils and retinas. Here, the embryo is just about the size of a blueberry. This stage brings rapid development and you can feel that so soon. Your embryo will change into the size of the C, Which consists of translucent skin. 

Your Body at Week 6

By the week 6th of your pregnancy, there starts the beginning of noticing the changes in the body. Besides, your hormones will overdrive and cause all the symptoms in your body. Although, no one can find that you are pregnant your uterus will start growing in this stage. It also brings a press on your bladder that makes you rush into the bathroom more often. Other than this, there will be an increase in the blood flow to the kidney, which is the reason for more urination.

Hormonal Changes at Week 6

During the 6th week of pregnancy, there are various hormonal changes that will occur in your body that often bring symptoms. This week, the baby is about 1/8 inch in length, which is similar to the size of the pomegranate seed. The baby will look like a tadpole with a tail at the bottom that becomes a spinal column. There is constant growth in the body in all the parts such as the lungs, brain, and many more organs. A Baby’s heartbeat can be frequently monitored with the help of vaginal ultrasound.

Week 6 Pregnancy Symptoms

Since you find you are pregnant this is the stage to experience various symptoms due to hormonal changes. Sometimes, you can witness some menstrual symptoms in the starting stage of your pregnancy. After this, here is the confirmation and starting stage of your pregnancy with wide symptoms. Some common symptoms that happen during the 6th week of your pregnancy are

  • Morning sickness
  • Frequent urination
  • Fatigue
  • Swollen or sore breasts
  • feeling emotional or irritable
  • tiredness
  • sore breast and so on

1. Schedule a Prenatal Appointment

Prenatal care is essential for you and your baby to ensure your health status more significantly. They will check the heartbeat and growth of the baby and render you various suggestions.

2. Take Your Multivitamins

Visiting the prenatal doctor will help to render the essential vitamin for you and your baby. In this stage, your doctor will prescribe a supplement for vitamins and minerals. 

3. Don’t Smoke

Smoking increases the risk of miscarriage and other severe complications for your body. Sometimes, it will lead the baby to low weight and make their health weak. Though if you don't smoke, you should also avoid secondhand smoke.

4. Skip the Hot Tub

Hot tubs will remain the significant cause of miscarriage and fetal abnormalities in your body. Moreover, you should avoid activities that elevate your body temperature to more than 101 degrees F. 

5. Eat Good Food

In the pregnancy stage, you should ensure good foods that render essential nutrients for your body. Divide your food turns and eat something that helps you get rid of the stress. Eat the food that sounds as good as your mood.

6. Drink Plenty of Water

If you are pregnant, you will never let your body get dehydrated. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to ensure your health. Many doctors stated that dehydration will remain the major cause of various complications.

7. Control Your Stress

Stress is a severe symptom that occurs during pregnancy, for this, you have to do the things that make your mind calm.
