During the 2nd week of pregnancy, you are not pregnant; it is simply your ovulation cycle. Probably, it is the stage where there is an egg maturing in your ovary and getting ready to break. There is growth in the lining of the uterus and it gets thicker to accept new life. However, at the end of the week ovulation occurs by releasing eggs in the ovary to the fallopian tubes. After the ovulation process, the eggs can survive up to 12 to 24 hours. For this reason, you need want to have any sexual contact during this period. Sperms can live up to five days inside the fertile cervical, where you have sex during this phase. Only the fraction and strongest sperm can enter the fallopian tube significantly. When the egg and sperm are getting together this process is said to be fertilization.

Fetal Development at Week 2

During the past few days, the increase in estrogen and progesterone has a lining on your uterus to support a fertilized egg. At the same time, there come the follicles in your ovaries, which is a ripened fluid-filled sac. Once after the ovulation, the egg will ovulate from follicles and enters the fallopian tube. It is one of the stages that will make you get ready for growing a baby but not confirm this as pregnancy.

Your Body at Week 2

In this week of pregnancy, you may feel pretty good in the mirror. Further, you cannot witness any symptoms in this phase when some simple body change occurs. As said earlier, week 2 symptoms will never confirm you as pregnant; it is just the starting stage of ovulation. Moreover, if your regular days are up to 28 days or shorter, then you are likely to ovulate at the end of the week. If there is an increase in the cycle, then it may take some more time to get ovulation.

Hormonal Changes at Week 2

During the time of your 2-week pregnancy, only one egg will become the dominant one that enters the tube. Further, it will release the estrogen that helps in stimulating and thickening the uterus lining. Once after getting the high estrogen level, they generally help in triggering the urge for LH hormones.

Week 2 Pregnancy Symptoms

In week 2 pregnancy, you will not experience many symptoms but only a slight change in body condition. In the initial days, you can explore some menstrual symptoms in this stage of pregnancy.

· Cervical Changes

· Increased Sex drive

· Fertile saliva

· Mild cramping

· Tender breast

Cervical Changes

As you feel ovulation, your cervix becomes soft, high, and slightly open. The mucus present inside this is thick, sticky, and creamy and tends to come outside. Besides, it looks clear, watery, and more or less similar to the whites of the egg. This mucus will allow sperm to survive and make them swim during release. Before the time of ovulation, your estrogen levels will go high significantly. Witnessing the mucus is a big clue about the things to happen within a few days later.

Increased Sex Drive

Nature always leads everyone to get to know the way to do further. The hormone changes during ovulation will boost your sexual desires. It occurs during the fertile period of the person who completed their menstrual cycle. If you witness a little more passionate than usual period then, you are ovulating. Meanwhile, you can take this as a hint and fulfill the needs of this phase in life. Following the desire abruptly will never bring any side effects to your body.

Fertile Saliva

When ovulation is approaching then, the hormone estrogens will increase. The rising estrogens will cause some changes in saliva. When you look at this under your microscope, then dried-up no fertile saliva will look like dots. Research founds a connection between some ferning saliva and ovulation for sure. You can even notice this as the symptom that brings you to the next stage of life. With some testing, you can confirm the accuracy of your pregnancy stage.

Week 2 Pregnancy Checklist

Getting into pregnancy is more exciting but it is also stressful in the first few months. During this phase of life, it is essential to concentrate on your health more for better results.
