Of course, Winter season will affect us with these diseases like flu, cold, asthma, sinusitis, etc. It is a myth that these infections only affect us in winter due to changes in weather conditions. We may not follow proper dietary food and life cycle changes besides believing in the myth and spreading it to all without research. 

"People should get constant health advice from the health expert and stop agreeing to half-truths and rumors blindly"

Ensure your health condition in all seasons by consulting your doctor and tracking your lifecycle with a proper dietary plan for greater health. If you start accepting myths, it leads to poor health conditions without your knowledge. Here are the winter myths you should stop believing immediately and start analyzing for better health conditions.

1. You Get Allergies Easily in Winter

This myth is wrong! Everyone believes it to be true, let’s see how it states incorrectly. Allergies like colds, asthma, and flu are not only affected in winter and also will affect in any season. On cold days everyone loves to spend time in bed with their blankets, it creates warmer temperatures and a high chance to spread gems.

2. No Sunscreen in the Winter

This myth is not original because sun and UV rays occur in all seasons. You may not see the real side but solely believe in myths. If the sky is cloudy; there is 80% of rays will penetrate through your skin and cause skin damage such as premature aging and skin cancers. Make sure to apply sunscreen before stepping out.

3. Dry Skin in the Winter is Harmless

Normally people believe without analyzing the truth behind it. You will notice white flaky and itchy skin during winter. So keep moisturizing and hydrating yourself for healthy skin and body during cold days.

5. Cold Weather Makes You Sick

"It is the biggest myth we believe blindly because we all prefer to stay indoors than outdoors during cold times"

6. Hair Loss in Winter

Keep an eye on your scalp and take proper health measures to avoid hair loss and help strengthen hair growth during cold days. It is the season that aid retains and saves your hair, so stop believing this false myth.

7. Cover Your Head in Winter

It’s because you will cover all your body except the head, so it makes you get affected by the cold. But that’s not true because the head has a natural defense in hair that has a protective layer from cold and winter. Safeguard it with minimal material as it already has a defensive mechanism and avoids getting flu with proper dietary food and 

8. Nosebleeds in Winter is Normal

Yes, it is true that in winter many people get a nosebleed, because of indoor heating, which dries out the air inside your home and your nose. The combination of outdoor temperatures and indoor heating made it dry out the schnoz. If you feel a heavy nosebleed check with your physician for a better solution.

9. Vitamin C Prevents Cold

Certainly, Vitamin C is the best source for cold prevention and it boosts the immune system in high doses. Make sure to take vitamin C regularly with minimal usage, which moderates the severity and duration of the cold and flu in the initial stages. It cannot avoid affecting cold and flu, this only aids to maintain a healthy immune system to fight against germs.

10. No Need to Drink Water During Winter

"It’s a false statement to agree with other opinions" 

Is it possible to function normally without an ample amount of water? No, it’s not probable; ensure to take the proper amount of water in the winter season to maintain fluid balance and keep your skin hydrated for a healthy body.

11. Women Gains Weight in Winter

Yes, you gain weight because of your indoor time with a cozy blanket and comfort foods. The metabolic rate will be the same in your body and burn your calories accordingly. Staying active will not make you gain weight. In winter you may not prefer doing the chores because the weather conditions are the reason for gaining weight.

Therefore, above said winter myths will make you stop believing in the right manner. You should consult with the physician before accepting the myth. Precaution is necessary for healthy life but over-safety measures like following myths blindly will worsen health conditions.
